Given that on average, we spend at least a third of our time each day collecting money, money's place in our overall vision for our lives is pretty crucial. Here are seven questions designed to give you a sense of how money and your ultimate life vision are interconnected.
Let's start with some biggies:
I like questions like these; they inspire powerful fantasies and can help clarify your fondest desires. Trouble is, they're a bit impractical - you haven't won the lottery, all jobs don't pay the same, and statistically, you're more likely to be kicked to death by a goat than given a million dollars.
So now, let's ask some questions a bit closer to home… (The following questions are taken from Paul Hwoschinsky's excellent book, True Wealth…)
1. Review your answers to the above questions. What do they tell you about the role of money in your life?
2. Based on what you've learned, choose at least three changes you will make in the way you spend, earn, invest, or save!
Have fun, learn heaps, and to paraphrase John F. Kennedy:
Ask not what you can do for money
- ask what money can do for you!
